Infection Control

In light of the growing threat of the COVID-19 outbreak, Specht Physical Therapy clinic locations are closed and will remain closed until we feel that it is safe and appropriate to provide in-clinic services again.

It was a difficult decision because we are committed to helping our patients and the community. But at this time, we’ve decided that the best thing for everyone is to close and do our part in making the outbreak less severe. It’s also a huge relief to know that everyone is home safe, and we can now entirely focus on delivering excellent PT care through Telehealth.

You have probably been hearing a lot about telehealth or telemedicine lately, and we are thrilled to be able to offer this service to our patients now!

Much like traditional physical therapy, through telehealth, your PT will be focused on finding the ROOT CAUSE of your pain or injury. They will then teach you self-treatment strategies and better movement patterns, and prescribe a home exercise program.

Many insurances cover telehealth physical therapy sessions, including:

  • Blue Cross & Blue Shield
  • United Healthcare, Aetna and Tufts
  • Medicare covers E-Visits
  • We offer a FREE “Telehealth Therapy Package” to anyone who has insurance that doesn’t cover telehealth, which includes an Evaluation and two Treatment sessions.

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for videos and tips on staying healthy and fit, no matter if you are “sheltering-in-place’ or not! Look out for:

  • ‘Flatten the Curve Fitness Fun’ with Mollye, for things to do with your kiddos!
  • ‘Getting Fit Fore Golf’ with Erin and Brendan, to build mobility and stability into your game!
  • ‘Gardening with Zach’ where you can learn how to move and garden beautifully…Little known fact: Zach has a green thumb!
  • Other fun and fitness related stuff!!!

Enjoy the sunshine, get some exercise, and Keep Moving!

Stay well,  Greg Specht
