Why Muscle Therapy?
Paul Zoci’s Muscle Therapy is a multi-faceted “hands-on” approach. In Paul’s specialized muscle therapy various techniques are used to relieve pain and promote healing. These techniques are effective and noninvasive, involving a personalized approach.
Paul’s personalized treatment may involve a combination of the following techniques:
Acupressure/Shiatsu
This form of massage is applied with finger or hand pressure. Its goal is to stimulate what Chinese medical practitioners call CHI. Acupressure can be powerful for relieving common complaints such as, headaches, backaches, sinus pain, neck pain, eyestrain and help heal sports injuries.
Myofascial Unwinding
A movement facilitation technique utilized to decrease pain, increase range of motion, and eliminate subconscious “Holding or Bracing Patterns”. It also is used to increase your proprioceptive awareness, increase functional mobility of the neuro/myofascial/osseous systems.
Reiki
Ancient Japanese technique to balance energy flow in the body.
Myofascial Release
A specialized technique involving stretching the fascia (connective tissue).
Soft muscle tissue work/Swedish Massage
Uses soothing, tapping and kneading strokes to work the entire body, relieving muscle tension and loosening sore joints.
Therapeutic Range-of-Motion Technique
A technique designed to increase movement in the extremities.
Craniosacral Therapy
CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system – comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
Bradley Technique
A unique, whole system approach that weaves together circulation therapy, Foot Zone therapy, acupressure, breathing and movement therapy, body-mind interconnectedness and fascia manipulation.
For these techniques to be most effective, communication and feedback between therapist and client are encouraged.
A 10-30 minute Seated Muscle Therapy session focuses on the shoulders, back, neck and arms. It promotes stress release in these areas and overall wellness. Paul has conducted numerous sessions for employees at various businesses in the area. For many clients, it is their first exposure to muscle therapy, and many have continued with additional sessions as well as giving gift certificates to friends and family.
“You guys did an outstanding job with my shoulder injury. I have 99% of my motion. My only wish would be that you worked on wrists as well. I am not so satisfied with the outcome of my wrist motion. I am certain if you were involved in the wrist therapy, I would have had a much better outcome. Happy Holidays. Thanks to all of you.”
