Over-tight or over-used upper trapezius muscles may need more than an occasional stretch or massage. Therapies to help release chronic tension include dry needling, ice & heat therapy, kinesiology tape applications, or the addition of NSAIDs. Contact a Specht physical therapist for help if your upper trap or shoulder pain is not relieved by stretching alone!
